Welcome to The Reel Life: The Thoughts of a  Film Lover, my personal blog about all things film and cinema. I’ll be discussing a wide variety of subjects including films I like, films I don’t, the various filmmakers that I enjoy talking about, as well as new and interesting ideas about films and the industry as a whole. I’ve been a lover of cinema since I was a child and through the years I’ve grown to appreciate it and those behind it more and more. With those in mind I decided to make this website, so I hope that others too can learn and enjoy films and the art of film-making.

On this website there is a variety of content including predictions and thoughts on the year in film and the awards season as it progresses. There will also be my own reviews of films as I see new ones coming out in theaters or rewatching ones that I find unique, interesting, and entertaining. I’ll also try and update the News section with as many current events in the film world as I can so that those who like this website can learn and explore the film industry as well. Keep checking in for new sections that might pop up as the site develops and I look forward to seeing what everyone thinks.

I look forward to seeing other peoples’ opinions and discussing with them because films are a personal experience based on how the thoughts and emotions behind a film affect you. There will be films that I love that others will hate and vice versa but they’re all worth talking about nonetheless. So sit back, take a look at whatever interests you, and I hope you enjoy The Reel Life!
